Abstract:
The present invention relates to a liquid medication-injecting urinary catheter comprising: a catheter body which is flexible, and which is configured in a hollow pipe shape; an expandable tube positioned near one end of the catheter body and installed to be spaced apart from the one end; a urinary port connected to the other end of the catheter body so as to discharge urine out of the human body; an air-injecting port connected to the other end of the catheter body so as to inject air into the expandable tube; and a liquid medication-injecting port connected to the other end of the catheter body so as to inject the liquid medication. When the hollow portion is seen from a lateral section, a urinary hole communicating with the urinary port, an air-injecting hole communicating with the air-injecting port, and a liquid medication-injecting hole communicating with the liquid medication port are disposed to be separated from one another. On the peripheral surface of the catheter body, multiple liquid medication discharge openings are formed so as to communicate with the liquid medication-injecting hole and to be spaced apart along the direction in which the catheter body extends. Liquid medication that has passed through the liquid medication-injecting port and the liquid medication-injecting hole is applied to the bladder or urethra through the liquid medication discharge openings. This is advantageous in that a predetermined function (for example, local anesthesia or bladder washing) can be performed uniformly in the longitudinal direction of the urethra, and the catheter can be easily inserted into the urethra while substantially reducing the occurrence of pain.
