Abstract:
The present invention provides a device and method for performing treatment of a liquid such as a nucleic acid-containing sample liquid by a liquid-permeable carrier under stable conditions. This liquid passage device 1 is for passing a liquid L through a liquid-permeable carrier 13 and is characterized by being provided with: a liquid accommodation section 10 provided with a liquid-permeable carrier 13 that has formed therein an accommodation space 11 and a discharge port 12 for discharging the liquid L accommodated in the accommodation space 11 and that is arranged so as to enable the liquid L discharged via the discharge port 12 to pass therethrough, and a deforming part 14 capable of deforming such that the volume of the accommodation space 11 decreases; and a lock section 20 that maintains the deformation state of the deforming part 14 when the liquid accommodation section 10 is made to deform so that the volume of the accommodation space 11 decreases.
