Abstract:

Disclosed is a liquid polyether carbonate diol compound which is useful for producing a thermoplastic polyurethane which is excellent in weather resistance, flexibility and stretchability. Such a liquid polyether carbonate diol compound is a reaction product between (1) a carbonate compound and (2) a polyether diol compound having, in a molecule structure, a constitutional unit: -RO- (a) and another constitutional unit: -(CH₂)₂-O- (b) and/or -CH₂CH(CH₃)-O- (c) (wherein n and m representing respective average numbers of moles of the constitutional units (b) and (c) per 1 mole of the constitutional unit (a) satisfy 0 ≤ n ≤ 5, 0 ≤ m ≤ 5, and 1 < (n + m) ≤ 5).
