Abstract:
A liquid sensor that detects whether or not liquid is present inside a tube (T) having light-transmitting properties comprising: a light-projecting unit (37) that irradiates detection light; a light-receiving unit (38) that faces the light-projecting unit (37) and receives the detection light; and a holding member (20) provided between the light-projecting unit (37) and the light-receiving unit (38) and having a pair of elastic pieces (51A, 51B) for sandwiching the tube (T) therebetween. Each elastic piece (51A, 51B) has a slit (52) that extends in a direction intersecting the longitudinal direction of the elastic pieces (51A, 51B) and different from the irradiation direction. The slit (52) in each elastic piece (51A, 51B) is arranged upon the optical axis for the detection light between the light-projecting unit (37) and the light-receiving unit (38).
