Abstract:
Provided is a liquid surface detection device capable of accurately detecting a liquid surface using ultrasound and without using a temperature sensor. A vibration generation means 2 generates a surface wave W1 on the surface of a propagation body 1 and generates an internal propagation wave W2 inside the propagation body 1. A vibration detection means 2 outputs a measurement signal by detecting the vibration of the surface wave W1 that has propagated through the propagation body 1 and been reflected and outputs a reference signal by detecting the vibration of the internal propagation wave W2 that has propagated through the propagation body 1 and been reflected. A position detection means 3 corrects a surface wave W1 propagation time determined from a drive signal and the measurement signal using an internal propagation wave W2 propagation time determined from the drive signal and the reference signal and detects a liquid surface LS.
