Abstract:
A liquid-surface detection device is provided with: a float that rises and falls in conformance with a liquid surface; a float magnet attached to the float; a guide member that guides the rising and falling of the float; a plurality of magnetic sensors attached to the guide member, the plurality of magnetic sensors sensing magnetic flux density that changes in accordance with the rising/falling position of the float magnet and outputting electric signals that correspond to the magnetic flux density; and a detection circuit that detects the position of the float on the basis of the electric signals outputted from each of the plurality of magnetic sensors. The lengths of the float magnet and the magnetic sensors in the horizontal direction, which is perpendicular to the rising/falling direction, are set to a first length, and the distance between magnetic sensors adjacent to each other in the rising/falling direction is set to a second length. The first length is greater than the second length. The detection circuit detects the position of the float on the basis of the electric signals outputted from two adjacent magnetic sensors among the plurality of magnetic sensors.
