Abstract:
A liquid surface detection device (100) according to one aspect of the present disclosure transmits ultrasonic waves into a liquid (150), and receives the ultrasonic waves propagated through the liquid (150). The liquid surface detection device (100) measures a liquid surface reflection time from when the ultrasonic waves are transmitted to when liquid surface reflected waves obtained by reflecting the ultrasonic waves on the liquid surface of the liquid (150) are received. The liquid level detection device (100) calculates a liquid level, which is the position of the liquid surface, on the basis of the measured liquid surface reflection time. The liquid surface detection device (100) transmits ultrasonic waves of higher intensity as the liquid level becomes higher.
