Abstract:
A volume determination system monitors and analyzes children's feeding habits by determining how much liquid a child consumes from a container over time. The container with liquid is struck by a hard object such as a spoon. The resulting sound is recorded by one or more audio sensors of a data collection device attached to the container. The system extracts the audio frequency of audio data of the sound. The system determines liquid volume based on the audio frequency, as well as other parameters such as the container volume and the type of container. The system uses reference audio frequencies and liquid volumes generated from controlled experiments to determine the liquid volume in the container. The reference data is stored in a database and used to train a model for determining liquid volumes. Based on the determined liquid volumes, the system generates health recommendations regarding children's feeding habits.
