This lithium borate compound is represented by formula (I). In formula (I), R1, R2, and R3 each independently represent an optionally substituted hydrocarbon group having 1-20 carbon atoms. R10 represents a fluorine atom, a hydrocarbon oxy group having 1-10 carbon atoms, a hydrocarbon group having 1-10 carbon atoms, or a fluorinated hydrocarbon group having 1-10 carbon atoms.
