Abstract:
Provided is a thick lithium composite oxide sintered body plate having high energy density and, when incorporated as a positive electrode in a lithium secondary battery, capable of providing excellent performance such as rapid charging performance, etc. This lithium composite oxide sintered body plate has: a structure wherein a plurality of primary particles having a layered rock salt structure are bonded; a porosity of 3%–40%; an average pore diameter of no more than 15 µm; an open pore ratio of at least 70%; a thickness of 15–200 µm; a primary particle diameter, being the average particle diameter of the plurality of primary particles, of no more than 20 µm; and an average angle of inclination for the plurality of primary particles of more than 0° and no more than 30°, said average angle of inclination being the average value for the angle between the (003) plane of the plurality of primary particles and the plate surface of the lithium composite oxide sintered body plate.
