Abstract:
Provided are a lithium ion battery manufacturing device and manufacturing method capable of suppressing thickness variation and shape distortion in a lithium ion battery. A lithium ion battery manufacturing device 10 is provided with: a holding tool 26 that sandwiches, from both sides in the stacking direction, a lithium ion battery 24 obtained by stacking a positive electrode current collector, a positive electrode active material layer, a separator, a negative electrode active material layer, and a negative electrode current collector, and having an annular frame member that secures the outer edge of the separator disposed between the positive electrode current collector and negative electrode current collector, and seals the positive electrode active material layer, separator, and negative electrode active material layer; and a seal device 32 having a frame-shaped heater 30 that heats the frame member, located on an outer edge 28 of the lithium ion battery 24, so as to heat-seal said outer edge 28.
