Abstract:
The present invention relates to the field of batteries. Specifically disclosed is a lithium ion battery. The lithium ion battery comprises a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator disposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, and a non-aqueous electrolyte. An active material of the positive electrode includes one or more of LiNixCoyMzO2, LiNiMxO4, and LiNi0.5Mn 1.5O4, where M is selected from Mn or Al, and 0 ≤ x ≤ 1, 0 ≤ y ≤ 1, 0 ≤ z ≤ 1, and x + y + z ≤ 1. The non-aqueous electrolyte comprises an organic solvent, a lithium salt, and a compound provided in the present invention. The lithium ion battery has a charge cut-off voltage of from 4.2 V to 5.2 V. The lithium ion battery has good high-temperature storage performance and good cycle performance, and is safe to use.
