Abstract:
This lithium-ion rechargeable battery comprises: a positive electrode containing a positive electrode active material, an electrolyte layer and a negative electrode containing a negative electrode active material. The electrolyte layer contains: at least one of an ionic liquid and a glyme represented by general formula (1); and a lithium salt. The negative electrode active material has an operating potential more than 1V greater than the metal lithium potential, and the capacity of the negative electrode is greater than that of the positive electrode. Formula (1): R1O—(CH2CH2O)m—R2 [In formula (1), R1 and R2 each independently represent a C1-4 alkyl group, and m represents an integer from 1-6.]
