Abstract:
This lithium ion secondary battery comprises: a negative electrode which comprises a negative electrode active material containing a carbon material; a positive electrode which comprises a positive electrode active material that is capable of absorbing and desorbing lithium ions; and an electrolyte solution which is obtained by dissolving an electrolyte in a solvent. The electrolyte solution contains, as an additive, a compound represented by [chemical formula 1]. The content of the additive per 1 cm2 of the surface area of the carbon material is 2.0 × 10-3 mg or more. In [chemical formula 1], M represents P or B; X represents a halogen group; R represents a chain hydrocarbon group; n1 is 1 or 2; n2 is an integer of 1-4; and n3 is an integer of 0-3.
