Abstract:

The present invention relates to a lithium rechargeable battery. The lithium rechargeable battery according to the present invention is provided with an anode, a cathode, a separator and a non-aqueous electrolytic solution; and, in the anode or the cathode or in the anode and the cathode, electrode active material particles that form the electrode are provided with a metal oxide coating layer or else the electrode-layer surface that is formed on the current collector is provided with a metal oxide coating layer, while the non-aqueous electrolytic solution contains: an ionisable lithium salt; an organic solvent; and a dinitrile compound having a specific structure. The lithium rechargeable battery of the present invention has an outstanding life cycle and output performance because degradation of the electrode is prevented and secondary reactions of the electrolytic solution are suppressed.
