Abstract:
The present invention relates to a lithium secondary battery having an extended service life and ultra-high energy density, the lithium secondary battery according to the present invention comprising a pre-lithiated negative electrode, having total irreversible capacity of the positive electrode that is greater than the total irreversible capacity of the negative electrode while satisfying 150 < (negative electrode discharge capacity/lithium secondary battery discharge capacity) x 100 < 300, and having comparative negative electrode potential of lithium metal of -0.1-0.7V in the driving voltage range of the lithium secondary battery, thereby allowing the rate at which capacity is maintained at 60% or higher to be sustained even at 500 cycles or greater while reaching energy density of 800Wh/L per volume.
