Abstract:

The present invention relates to a lithium secondary battery, comprising: a cathode and an anode capable of absorbing and emitting lithium ions, respectively; a non-aqueous electrolyte; and a safety vent for relieving internal pressure when the internal pressure increases, wherein the safety vent has a predetermined operating characteristic and the non-aqueous electrolyte has a predetermined composition. The lithium secondary battery of the present invention can secure stability thereof in an overcharged state thereof.
