Abstract:
A load balancing fragmentation method based on socket long connections. The fragmentation method is used for load balancing of a large number of socket connections, thereby solving the problem of a server going down because of a CPU being overloaded due to too many socket connections. A consistent hash algorithm is used to improve the fault tolerance and expansibility; during the addition of a new fragment, only a small portion of socket connections are transferred to the newly added fragment, while the other socket connections continue to perform communication and are not affected; during the removal of a fragment, IP addresses within a faulty fragment are transferred in a clockwise manner to the next fragment, without affecting the other connected socket connections; a fragment can be removed automatically or by means of a command; and the removal type can be configured in a configuration file of a master server. Communications between the master server and slave servers are monitored by means of heartbeat monitoring; and when a slave server is faulty, a socket connection on the server can be automatically transferred to the next fragment, thereby preventing the problem of a socket connection of a server failing and communication between the server and a field device being thus disconnected due to the server going down.
