Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a load control device capable of controlling a surge current attributed to a lightning surge that flows to a switching part. This load control device (10) includes: a switching part (1) comprising first switching elements (17); and a protection circuit (5). The protection circuit (5) has a first functional circuit (18) and a second functional circuit (8). The second functional circuit (8) has a diode bridge (9), a second switching element (11), a first resistor (12) and a second capacitor (13), and a second resistor (14) and a third capacitor (15). The response time to a lightning surge in the second functional circuit (8) is set shorter than the response time to a lightning surge in a varistor (7).
