Abstract:
A load detection device equipped with a sensor (32) for detecting the angle of rotation of a rotary body (35) that rotates in response to changes in load, wherein the state of wires (18, 40) is decided on the basis of detected values from the sensor (32). This makes it possible to reliably recognize breakage of the wires (18, 40), thereby avoiding a burden on the elevator device due to lifting&sol lowering with the car full of load.
