Abstract:
This load driving device is provided with a semiconductor element (2) and a current sensing resistor. The semiconductor element is partitioned into a main element (2m) and a sensing element (2s) for current sensing by separation of a source electrode (310). The current sensing resistor is connected in series with the sensing element. A distance Ds between source electrodes (310m, 310s) of the main element and the sensing element is made wider than a minimum distance Dmin of wiring (31) including the source electrodes. When the value of drift resistance based on the area of the sensing element is denoted by Rdm in the main element, and denoted by Rds in the sensing element, and the sensing ratio between the sensing element and the main element is denoted by K, the resistance value Rs of the current sensing resistor is set so as to satisfy the following expression. 0 ≤ |Rdm×K-(Rds+Rs)| < Rdm×K-Rds
