Abstract:
A local heating and cooling system (S1, S1a–S1d) comprises a heat source unit (10) comprising a cold heat source or a hot heat source, a flexible tube (100) that circulates a liquid medium (200) for heating or cooling by way of the heat source unit, a liquid medium delivery unit (electric pump 20) that delivers the liquid medium to the flexible tube, a local contact unit (30) in which a portion of the flexible tube is disposed and that contacts a local part of a body, a first temperature sensor (SN1) that detects the body temperature, and a control unit (microcomputer 40) that controls the operation of the liquid medium delivery unit on the basis of the detection results from the first temperature sensor. Thus, a local heating and cooling system and a local heating and cooling method that can improve comfort by controlling overcooling and overheating of the body are provided.
