Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an improved localization process for an unmanned aerial apparatus. To that end, this localization device for an unmanned aerial vehicle is provided with a light source for irradiating an object in the area around an unmanned aerial vehicle, a light converging sensor for acquiring reflected light from the object as image data, and a position estimation unit for using the image data acquired by the light converging sensor to estimate the position of the unmanned aerial vehicle relative to the object. The light source comprises a laser for emitting light capable of being distinguished from ambient light and a diffuser for diffusing the light from the laser. The light converging sensor detects the light capable of being distinguished from ambient light in the reflected light from the object.
