Abstract:
Disclosed are a locating method and device. The method comprises: sending, by an access point (AP), M × K locating query signalling to a station (STA) using M × K different channels formed by M antennas; receiving, by the AP, a plurality of response signals sent by the STA with respect to the locating query signalling, and acquiring channel feature information about the channels for receiving each response signal; comparing the channel feature information with channel feature information about a plurality of pre-stored reference points, so as to determine the reference point matching with the STA; and according to position information about the pre-stored reference point which is matched, locating the STA. By means of the method and device provided in the present invention, the STA to be located is located using the reference point of which the position is determined already, so that a plurality of feature channels can be obtained without moving the AP in a mechanical manner, thereby improving the locating accuracy of the STA.
