Abstract:

Provided is a system whereby, without being dependent upon GPS or a network environment, desired information is sent to a smartphone or other portable information terminal which a user possesses. A location information service system comprises: an electronic tag transmission device (10), which broadcasts first identification information (management device number) which identifies a common application which portable information terminals (20) execute; and a management device (50) which receives a query based on the first identification information which a portable information terminal (20) has received, converts the received first identification information to second identification information (application identification information) which the portable information terminal (20) manages, and transmits same to the portable information terminal (20) whereupon the query originated. The portable information terminal (20) executes the relevant application on the basis of the second identification information.
