Abstract:

A lock cylinder retainer (10) comprises an annular portion (34) and a rectangular portion (36) extending from the annular portion (34). The annular portion (34) is configured to engage a lock cylinder core (24) and the rectangular portion (36) is configured to engage a pin housing (26) associated with the cylinder core (24). The annular portion (34) includes a front edge (38) and a flange (42) extending radially inwardly from the front edge (38) and the rectangular portion (36) includes a front surface (44), a pair of parallel side surfaces (46) and a top surface (48). The front (44), top (48) and side (46) surfaces cooperate to partially enclose the pin housing (26).
