Disclosed in the present invention is a lock device (5), which is used for a door (9B) that is switched between being closed and being open with respect to an open part in the side of a main body and that is always energized in the opening direction, and said device has a holder (2) that engages with or detaches from a receiving part (55a) when the door is closed. The device is equipped a with case (1) that is provided on the door and that supports the holder 2 in a slidable manner, a latch (3) that is supported at the top of the holder and is able to pivot up or down against the energizing force, a regulating plate (35) that is able to slide on holder (2) and is able to contact or separate from the latch (3), an energizing means that energizes the latch (3) in a direction to engage with a receiving part (8d) through the regulating plate (35) and the holder (2), and cam mechanisms (39, P) set at an operating history to control sliding of the regulating plate (35) to keep latch (3) engaged with the receiving part (8d) held down by the regulating plate (35) by the door being pushed from the opening direction to the closing direction against the energizing force, and to separate the regulating plate (35) from the latch (3) to disengage the latch by again pushing the door in the closing direction. Thus, a lock device with high strength and outstanding operability and appearance can be provided.
