The disclosed lock device has a striker that engages and disengages with a latch-receiving section in a closed-door state; when the door is pushed in the direction from open to closed, the striker engages with the receiving section and a closed-door state can be maintained; and by pushing the door again in the same direction, the aforementioned engagement is released and the door can pivot in the direction of opening. The lock device is provided with: a case that supports the striker; an energizing means that energizes the striker in a direction of protrusion from the case; a switch member that is switched from a normal non-working position that does not apply a load to the striker to a working position pivoted by means of the stress when hitting a main-body striking section, and that moves the striker against the energizing force; a spring means that returns the switch member to the non-working position; and a latch mechanism that, each time the switch member switches from the non-working position to the working position, can vary alternately between a latching state that holds the state wherein the striker is moved against the energizing force, and a non-latching state that releases the hold.
