Abstract:
Provided is a lock unit for a vehicle, configured so that the lock unit can be unitized in advance and has a reduced number of parts in comparison to conventional products and so that each constituting part can be easily formed so that the lock unit can be smoothly engaged with and disengaged from a striker.
A lock unit (25) is provided with: a pair of shaft members (44, 58) which have mounting sections (45, 59) protruding from a base plate (28) and mounted to a bracket (17) and which also have retaining sections (47, 61) located between the base plate and the mounting sections; and a hook (37) and a pawl (52) which are respectively rotatably supported by the pair of shaft members while being positionally restrained between the base plate and the retaining sections, the hook (37) grasping and releasing the striker (101) which enters a striker insertion groove, the pawl (52) restricting the rotation of the hook by engaging with the hook in a disengageable manner.
