An anti-theft device comprising an end piece (1) including a locking piece for an external wire (4), wherein the external wire (4) may be locked to the end piece (1), and wherein the end piece furthermore comprises an energy source (2) providing energy to conducting leads (8) passing along the external wire, and said locking device also comprising an alarm, wherein the end piece additionally comprises a microprocessor (3) receiving energy from the energy source (2) and emitting a signal through at least one out-gate, said signal following the conductors (8) in the external wire (4) as well as receiving a corresponding signal through at least one in-gate, wherein tampering with the integrity of the signal emitted and/or received by the microprocessor triggers the alarm, provides a lock that is secure from tampering in any way.
