Abstract:
Provided is a locking mechanism for a hand cutting tool, wherein the locking mechanism does not come into contact with a grip on the opposite side when lock-releasing. This locking mechanism for a hand cutting tool placed in a locked state in which a pair of grips are closed includes: a holding recess part (8) provided on the end of a grip (4) on one side; a locking recess part (9) provided on the end of a grip (5) on the other side; a ring member (10) which is detachably and rotatably provided in the holding recess part, and is locked to the locking recess part to establish a locked state in which the pair of grips are closed; and a valve part (11) for detachably and rotatably inserting the ring member in the holding recess part, wherein, when the ring member is disengaged from the locking recess part, the holding recess part and the valve part grip the ring member while separated from the grip on the other side. When the hand cutting tool is used, the ring member, without being brought into contact with the grip, is gripped and held by the holding recess part and the valve part by means of an operation for releasing the ring member from the locked state.
