Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to efficiently produce log rolls by means of a log roll production device capable of producing a multi-ply log roll using a plurality of parent rolls. A winder 1 can produce a two-ply log roll 62 when a main processing/spooling part 50A is supplied with a spoolable base sheet 12 in which are plied first and second spoolable base sheets 11a and 11b fed from first and second parent rolls 10A, 10B. The winder 1 is provided with a subprocessing/spooling part 50B. When producing a single-ply log roll 61 by means of the main processing/spooling part 50A, the spoolable base sheet 12 in which are plied the first and second spoolable base sheets 11a and 11b is separated by a spoolable base sheet separation unit 70 into a first separated spoolable base sheet 12a and a second separated spoolable base sheet 12b. The single-ply log roll 61 is produced by means of the main processing/spooling part 50A supplying the first separated spoolable base sheet 12a and the subprocessing/spooling part 50B supplying the second separated spoolable base sheet 12b at the same time.
