Abstract:
A long-object measuring device capable of measuring the length and quantity of a long object, such as medicines arranged in a row, independent of its size and kind. One end of a long object is positioned by a first reference member, and the other end is positioned by a second reference member. There are arranged a resistance circuit that is constituted of resistors connected in series and where a resistor at one end is connected to a constant voltage source and a resistor at the other end grounded, detection circuits that are arranged at equal intervals along the long object and constituted of switches each whose one end is connected between adjacent resistors and the other end is connected to a detection terminal, and a switch driving means for turning on a switch provided on the second reference member. Voltages at the detection terminals of the detection circuits are measured, and the length or the quantity of the long object is measured according to the voltages.
