Abstract:
The present invention provides a long steel pipe for a reel method and a manufacturing method for same, wherein the long steel pipe is composed of electroseamed steel pipes and has excellent buckling resistance. The long steel pipe is obtained by sequentially placing the longitudinal ends of a plurality of electroseamed steel pipes face-to-face and joining the same by forming circumferential welded sections. The ends are joined face-to-face so that the zero o'clock or six o'clock position of the pipe cross-section of one of a pair of neighboring electroseamed steel pipes among the electroseamed steel pipes formed by sequentially joining in the pipe longitudinal direction corresponds to the two o'clock position to the four o'clock position range or the eight o'clock to 10 o'clock position range of the pipe cross-section of the other one of the pair of neighboring electroseamed steel pipes. Accordingly, when the long steel pipe is wound around a reel by a reel method, large axial distortion, such as localized buckling or fracture, does not occur even when the zero o'clock position (seam) or the six o'clock position of the pipe cross-section of the long steel pipe, at which the long steel pipe has the tensile properties of a high yield ratio and a low uniform elongation, is located on the inside (Intrados) of the reel winding or on the outside (Extrados) of the reel winding. Moreover, there is little risk of bucking or fracture.
