Abstract:
Non-woven fabric (3) is layered and needled on the back face of a mat body (2) that is formed by planting pile (8) in foundation cloth (7). Then a polymer adhesive agent (4) containing a water-repellent agent is impregnated from the side where the non-woven fabric (3) is not layered. In a loose mat (1) obtained as above, the non-woven fabric (3) is provided on the back face of the mat body (2) in a contacting state, and part (30) of fibers constructing the non-woven fabric (3) penetrates into the foundation cloth (7), twining through it. The adhesive agent (4) containing the water-repellent agent is impregnated into the non-woven fabric (3) to form a sound-absorbing/waterproof layer. The adhesive agent (4) is firmly adhered also to the back face of the mat body (2), and as a result the pile (8) is prevented from coming out and the mat body (2) and the non-woven fabric (3) are joined together.
