Abstract:
The present invention easily searches for lost items. A management server is provided with a found item DB which registers information pertaining to found items being held in various locations. In addition, a control unit of the management server, in response to receiving a lost item search request transmitted from a user terminal over a network (step S1), detects, from among found items registered in the found item DB, candidates for the lost item of the search request on the basis of information pertaining to the lost item of the search request and information pertaining to found items registered in the found item DB (step S2). Additionally, the control unit notifies, over the network, the user terminal of the lost item candidates detected in step S2 (step S1). Thereafter, in response to a selection of any of the lost item candidates notified in step S1 being made on the user terminal, the control unit notifies, over the network, the user terminal of the contact information of the holding location for the found item that is the selected lost item candidate.
