Abstract:
A loudspeaker device (10) having housing (13, 14) and an acoustic transducer (12) is disclosed. The housing (13, 14) has a transducer space for the acoustic transducer (12), and a back volume (17) space. The back volume (17) filled with a sound absorber material (15, 19) and a foam material. The sound absorber material (15, 19) in the back volume (17) space is configured to virtually increase the size of the back volume (17) space, and shift the resonant frequency of the back volume (17) space. The foam material facilitates gas exchange and air flow within the back volume (17) space, and between the sound absorber and the transducer space. The foam material is configured in different arrangements to facilitate the gas exchange and air flow.
