Abstract:
Disclosed are a low dropout regulator (2000) and a voltage stabilization method therefor. The low dropout regulator (2000) comprises: a drive circuit (2100) generating a first control signal (VC1) according to a reference voltage (Vref) and a feedback voltage (Vfb) and generating an output current according to the first control signal (VC1), wherein a load capacitor (Cload) provides an output voltage (Vout) according to the output current (Iout); a voltage feedback circuit (2200) obtaining the feedback voltage (Vfb) according to the output voltage (Vout); a current feedback circuit (2300) generating a second control signal (VC2) according to the output current (Iout); and a switching circuit (2400) providing the reference voltage (Vref) according to the second control signal (VC2), wherein in a first phase (Ts1) of a startup process, the reference voltage (Vref) is less than or equal to an initial value and the current feedback circuit (2300) limits the output current (Iout) according to the second control signal (VC2), and in a second phase (Ts2) of the startup process, the switching circuit (2400) switches a voltage value of the reference voltage (Vref) to a target value. The low dropout regulator (2000) and the voltage stabilization method therefor can effectively limit the output current (Iout) in the startup process and enable the output voltage (Vout) to rise gently so as to reduce or avoid overshoot phenomena.
