Abstract:
A low temperature storage cabinet whose freezing compartment maintained at an ultra-low temperature by a binary refrigerating apparatus is improved in thermal insulation effect. A vertical ultra-low temperature freezer (1) is constituted of an insulating case of a composite configuration formed of vacuum insulating panels and foamed insulating material, an insulating door of a composite configuration formed of a vacuum insulating panel and foamed insulating material, and the binary refrigerating apparatus for refrigerating articles stored within the insulating case. The binary refrigerating apparatus generates ultra-low temperature by cascading a high temperature side refrigerant circuit and a low temperature side refrigerant circuit.
