Abstract:
This invention provides a low-toxicity sophorolipid-containing composition characterized by containing at least the following: a coloring component derived from a sophorolipid-producing yeast culture; an acidic sophorolipid; a fatty acid; and a hydroxy fatty acid. Said low-toxicity sophorolipid-containing composition is also characterized in that, letting 100 mass% represent the total mass of the acidic sophorolipid, a lactonic sophorolipid, the fatty acid, and the hydroxy fatty acid, the respective proportions thereof, in terms of dry weight, are as follows: (1) 94-99.99 mass% for the acidic sophorolipid, (2) 0-2 mass% for the lactonic sophorolipid, and (3) a total of 0.01-4 mass% for the fatty acid and the hydroxy fatty acid.
