Abstract:
A low water-pressure water-resistance testing technique capable of preventing sharp variations in angle due to oscillation of a connecting pipe, variations in within-pipeline resistance and sharp variations in within-pipeline pressure, etc., and additionally, capable of accurate measurement while taking consideration of influences due to sound pressure in the surrounding environment. A low water-pressure water-resistance tester comprising a water storage tank (1), a sample fixing body (2) for placing a test piece (waterproof membrane (9)) on the upper surface by a clamp (3), a flexible connecting pipe (4) extending from the water storage tank to a fixed pipeline (21) attached to the sample fixing body, the water storage tank being vertically movable, and a measurement scale (12) for measuring the water level (H) which changes with the vertical movement of the water storage tank, wherein the tester further comprises a traction device (5) for towing the portion of the connecting pipe depending from the water storage tank in such a manner as to control the vertical pipe portion to keep the latter in its vertical position in operative association with the up and down movement of the water storage tank, and a sound pressure producer (6) installed midway between the ends of the fixed pipeline through a vibrating membrane (60).
