Abstract:
Compounds represented by the following general formula (I) and nontoxic salts thereof: (I) wherein each symbol is as defined in the description. Because of binding to LPA receptors and antagonizing the same, the compounds represented by the general formula (I) are useful in preventing and/or treating urinary diseases (symptoms accompanying prostate-gland enlargement or neurogenic bladder disease, symptoms caused by spinal tumor, herniated disk, vertebral canal stenosis or diabetes, lower urinary tract obstruction, lower urinary tract inflammatory disease, polyuria), cancer-related diseases (solid tumor, solid tumor metastasis, angiofibroma, myeloma, multiple myeloma, Kaposi’s sarcoma, leukemia, infiltrative metastasis of cancer), proliferative diseases (diseases accompanied by abnormal angiogenesis, arterial occlusion, pulmonary fibrosis), inflammatory immune diseases (psoriasis, nephropathy, hepatitis, pulmonary inflammation), diseases caused by secretion failures (Sjoegren’s syndrome), brain-related diseases (cerebral infarction, cerebral hemorrhage, cerebral or peripheral neuropathy), or chronic diseases (chronic asthma, glomerular nephritis, obesity, prostate-gland enlargement, diseases caused by the progress of arteriosclerosis, rheumatoid and atopic dermatitis).
