Provided is a lubricant cartridge container that allows the remainder of grease, oil, or other fluid lubricant that remains inside the container after use to be reduced. Also provided is a method for using the container. The present invention has: a cylindrical member (12) attached to the connecting member (40) of a lubricating pump (200) and adapted to receive suction from the lubricating pump and to supply a fluid lubricant (L) to the lubricating pump (200) through a lubricant inlet (20), a moving member (24) for receiving suction from the lubricating pump and moving inside the cylindrical member (12) toward the lubricant inlet together with the flow of the fluid lubricant (L) toward the lubricant inlet, and an elastic seal member (30) provided to the moving member (24) and adapted to press against the inside surface of the cylindrical member (12) and to maintain an airtight condition between the outside surface of the moving member (24) and the inside surface of the cylindrical member (12).
