Abstract:
[Problem] To provide: a lubricant composition for shock absorbers, which enables the achievement of a good balance between steering stability and ride quality, and which is capable of further improving the ride quality; an additive for friction adjustment for lubricants for shock absorbers; and a lubricant additive. [Solution] A lubricant composition for shock absorbers, which contains a base oil and a friction adjusting agent that contains a first zinc dithiophosphate represented by formula 1. (In formula 1, each of R11-R14 moieties represents an alkyl group; and one to three moieties among the above-described moieties are primary alkyl groups, while the others are secondary alkyl groups.)
