Abstract:

A lubricant composition which contains: a lubricant base oil; (A) a calcium salicylate detergent in an amount of 0.005-0.03% by mass in terms of calcium based on the total amount of the composition; (B) a succinimide-based ashless dispersant in an amount of 0.005-0.25% by mass in terms of nitrogen based on the total amount of the composition; and (C1) an antioxidant containing nitrogen in an amount of 0.005-0.15% by mass in terms of nitrogen based on the total amount of the composition. This lubricant composition does not contain or contains (D) a friction regulator containing nitrogen in an amount of 0.03% by mass or less in terms of nitrogen based on the total amount of the composition; and the total content of metal-based detergents is 0.005-0.03% by mass in terms of metals based on the total amount of the composition.
