Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a lubricant composition having well balanced electrical insulation, seizure resistance, and wear resistance. [Solution] This lubricant composition is characterized by including: a lubricating base oil (A); 10–1,000 mass ppm of an alkaline earth metal-based cleaning agent (B) relative to the total amount of lubricant composition; 0.005%–0.90% by mass of a triazole compound (C) indicated by general formula (1) or (2), relative to the total amount of lubricant composition (1) (in the formula, R1 indicates a hydrogen atom or a methyl group and R2 and R3 each independently indicate a hydrogen atom or a C1–18 linear chain or branched hydrocarbon.) (2) (in the formula R4 indicates a hydrogen atom or a methyl group and R5 and R6 each independently indicate a hydrogen atom or a C1–18 linear chain or branched hydrocarbon.); 10–2,000 mass ppm, as the sulfur amount, of at least one type of sulfur-containing compound (D) selected from a sulfur-containing heterocyclic ether compound and a sulfide compound, relative to the total amount of lubricant composition; and 0.010–4.0 mass% of an ash-free dispersant (E), relative to the total amount of lubricant composition.
