Abstract:
One aspect of the present invention is a lubricant which is blended into a mixed powder for powder metallurgy containing an iron-based powder, and which is characterized by containing an organic lamellar material having an average particle diameter of 0.1 μm or more but less than 3 μm. Another aspect of the present invention is a mixed powder for powder metallurgy, which contains an iron-based powder and the above-described lubricant. Another aspect of the present invention is a method for producing a sintered body, which comprises: a step for preparing a mixed powder for powder metallurgy by mixing, said mixed powder containing an iron-based powder and the above-described lubricant; a step for obtaining a powder compact by compressing the mixed powder for powder metallurgy with use of a mold; and a step for obtaining a sintered body by sintering the powder compact.
