Abstract:
Provided is a lubricating oil composition which exhibits a high intermetallic friction coefficient and excellent clutch shudder-inhibiting performance, includes (A) a specific amide compound and (B) a metal-based detergent, wherein the content of (B) the metal-based detergent in terms of the metal atoms is not less than 300 ppm by mass but equal to or less than 1000 ppm by mass relative to the total amount of the composition. Also provided are a lubrication method and a transmission which use said lubricating oil composition.
