Abstract:
Provided are: a lubricating oil composition which combines a high viscosity index with high shear stability and which comprises a polymethacrylate having a specific structure and a base oil having a kinematic viscosity at 40°C of 4.0 mm2/s or higher but less than 6.0 mm2/s, a kinematic viscosity at 100°C of 1.0 mm2/s or higher but less than 2.0 mm2/s, and a flash point of 140°C or higher; and a lubricating method and a transmission gear, in which the lubricating oil composition is used.
