Abstract:
Provided are: a lubricating oil composition that is for use in an internal-combustion engine and that contains a base oil (A), at least one imide compound (B) selected from monoimide succinates (B1) represented by general formula (b-1) and bisimide succinates (B2) represented by general formula (b-2), at least one metal-based cleanser (C) selected from metal sulfonates (C1) having a branched alkyl group and metal phenates (C2) having a branched alkyl group, and zinc dithiophosphate (D), wherein the contained amount of phosphorus atoms derived from the component (D) is less than 800 ppm by mass with respect to the entire amount of the lubricating oil composition; and a production method for the lubricating oil composition. Even when the contained amount of phosphorus atoms derived from an anti-wear agent is reduced, excellent wear resistance in an internal-combustion engine and a high friction coefficient in a wet clutch can be achieved by the lubricating oil composition and the production method therefor.
